"We were delighted to have Livewire perform at our Black and White Ball at the InterContinental Hotel in August.
 
Colin MacDonald was our contact for the band and he was totally professional and extremely helpful.  We had not organised an event of this size before and his input was much appreciated.  He met us at the hotel several times to consider staging and sound requirements in the Ballroom, and to discuss our format and expectations for the Ball.  Nothing was too much trouble and we kept in regular contact by email prior to the night. 
 
On the night they were fantastic.  From the first song they played the dance floor was packed.   The music Livewire played was ideal for our guests; everyone knew the songs, danced, sang and had a wonderful time.  They were so good we persuaded the hotel to extend their curfew and the band played for another half hour!  Several guests asked for the Bands contact details because they were so impressed they wanted to book them!
 
I would highly recommend Livewire to anyone who wants to book an accomplished, polished and professional band to ensure the success of their event.

And another one...bride's mother wasn't sure about us.......

"One thing that helped put Mum's mind at ease was coming with us to see them play live at a pub in Mana a couple of times.  I would recommend doing this if you have the chance as hearing them live is a completely different experience to listing to them online.

Ok so how did it all go?  They were FANTASTIC!  To give you an idea we had approximately 100 guests of varied ages and it had been a long day so lots of people were pretty tired by the time 9.30pm rolled around (in fact we actually ran a bit late and I don't think the band started until 10'ish).  My parents and I have been to a few weddings and often you find that once the music starts a hard core group get up and dance and might stay dancing for the night but a huge majority also end up sitting around at tables trying to talk over the music or they head off home after the first few songs.  We were really impressed that the majority of our guests got up and stayed up dancing for the entire time!!  Livewire played a good mix of songs that everybody loved and Colin's interaction with the crowd was really good.  We'd sent him a small briefing so he knew the key people on the night (e.g. parents, siblings, close friends) and he was able to incorporate this into his banter and their song list which worked well."

"Livewire were absolutely brilliant and we would've had 30 - 40 people telling us how awesome they were the next day. They seriously understand how to read a crowd too and kept things cranking on the dancefloor with some great numbers from all eras and musical genres. A very tight and clearly very talented band, I'd recommend Livewire to anyone without any reservations whatsoever."
